Our Sunday School programs are designed to help you live a more meaningful and fulfilling Christian life. In these small groups, we discuss how to apply God's word in our daily lives, whether through open discussions or teacher-led study.
The Faith class is a unique approach to Sunday School in that it is facilitated each week by a different class member. This class studies a variety of topics, ranging from the history and archeology of the Bible and the early church to what the Bible can tell us about the issues and problems we all face in our lives today. The leader introduces a topic, provides Biblical references, and then the class participates in a sometimes lively discussion session.
This class is instructor-led with open group discussion. Topics change according to the interest of the class, and most lessons address how to use the Bible to help enrich our daily walk with the Lord. Ages range from the mid 30's up.
Led by Kevin and Penny Dearman, this class is a Bible-based study with real life application. Members study various literary resources and discuss how these resources can be applied in their daily lives. Sources include authors such as Max Lucado, Charles F. Stanley, Douglas Purnell and many more.
Bible Truths Class
The Bible Truths Class is taught by Mr. Ron Bowerman. The lessons are drawn directly from the Bible text and supported by other resources such as the works of John MacArthur. While primarily comprised of Senior Adults, this class is open to adults of all ages.
Our Young Adults are currently meeting for fellowship and study once a month, and are involved in various mission projects in the area.
Each Wednesday evening, members meet to discuss and pray for family, friends, and community members who are experiencing hardships. In our prayer group, we lift up to the Lord those who are sick, injured, or have other needs. A time of devotional is offered by either Rev. Kevin Bradley or Rev. H.W. Parker.
Women's Study Group
The Women's Study Group covers a wide range of topics from authors such as Beth Moore and Gary Chapman. Volunteer instructors lead the class in weekly lessons from the book and/or other available media. This class meets each Wednesday evening after the Family Supper.
The Men’s Group emphasizes the importance of developing Christian relationships in order to support and encourage each other in their walks with Christ. In a discussion group setting, the group members participate in Bible study, discuss contemporary issues, and study various Christian literary sources. The Men's Group meets each Wednesday after the Family Supper.
"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." (Proverbs 27:17)
Men's Prayer Group
For the early risers, this is an informal men's prayer group that meets in the old kitchen on Thursdays at 6am. Guys from 9 to 90 meet early to share hot coffee, sign greeting cards for prayer concerns, followed by a brief devotional and silent prayer at the sanctuary altar rail. A perfect start for any day!
